Finally got to try out Phnom Penh. We went here on a Monday Night, right before the Drake concert. Even though it was a Monday Night, it was still packed and there was still a wait! This time, the wait didn’t extend to outside.
Variety: 8/10 – There’s a lot of variety. Noodles. Soups. Chicken wings. Butter Beef. Rice Plates and many more!
Service: 6.5/10 – It’s always busy so the service you get is pretty terrible. The wait is terrible.
Taste: 8.75/10 – My favourite of the 3 was the hot and sour soup. Delicious! Next comes the butter beef… I don’t even eat raw… So it was pretty interesting to try that. The chicken wings are really overhyped so I had a lot of expectations. It was whatever to me. Just chicken wings with a hint of garlic sauce.
Atmosphere: 7/10 – Loud. Busy. You share tables with strangers (only at the big round tables).
Reasonably Priced: 7/10 – For a small plate of butter beef, it will cost you $15. For some chicken wings, it will cost you roughly $8.75. For a small bowl of hot and sour soup, it will cost you $12.95. Pretty much all of the soups will cost you more than $12. “Pho Restaurants” on average usually price their soups at $8-9.50 so it is a little expensive here.
Overall, I probably would not come here again. I would try to come when it is not busy but that’s pretty hard/rare……
