First time at this place and probably the first time being in the Olympic Village area … I think .. I know, I fail as a “vancouverite.”
Variety: 8/10 – There’s a lot to choose from for a “pub-like” restaurant. There’s pasta, wood board pizzas, fancy pub food, sandwiches, steaks, lots of appys. Highly recommending ordering different dishes and sharing!
Service: 9/10 – Our server was super friendly and talkative and a jokester (as you can see the image above). He was helpful in recommending drinks for newbies like us.
Taste: 9/10 – everything tasted really good. I had the white sangria and it met expectations. I don’t really like semi raw or raw stuff but the tuna tataki here wasn’t too bad. Definitely had major regrets when I accidentally made my tuna touch the wasabi mayo.. bleh!!!!!! The truffle mushroom mac and cheese was suuuuuuuuuuuper delicious. It was very flavorful but then it started to get a little too flavorful that you get stick of it.
Atmosphere: 9/10 – We were seated upstairs so I cannot say much about the downstairs. Upstairs was dim, loud because everyone’s trying to converse with each other and if you’re sitting by the window/patio area, then on your other side, there’s bright lights arraying from at least 4-5 different tvs by the ‘bar’.
Reasonably Priced: 7.5/10 – A bit pricy but I guess it’s because of the location of the place, they gotta hike up some of the prices to pay off the rent.
Would probably come here again but in the summer time to sit out on the patio and enjoy the scenery of Science World and BC Place / the calming waters.
