Mmmmhm!~ We needed to have lunch after our “hike” so I googled “top restaurants near Whytecliff” and this “Olive & Anchor” place came up. No regrets coming here.
Variety – 7/10: Since it’s a PUB, you’ll have you typical PUB choices: burgers, fish & chips, soups & salads, sandwiches, few pasta options etc.
Service – 9/10: As soon as I came in, I was greeted ASAP even though I came through the back door. We were seated quickly and we were served quickly. The staff was nice and I liked how there was A LOT of staff instead of the restaurant being understaffed. At first, it seemed decently empty, but it filled quickly as the prime lunch time rolled around.
Taste – 8.5/10: Not sure if everything was truly really good or we were really hungry. I liked my salad and soup. My friend’s fish & chips seemed pretty good. But then again, you can’t go wrong with these type of dishes… i think..
Atmosphere – 8/10: super nice view of the dock/ferries and the breeze that comes into the restaurant because of the open space – amazing
Reasonably Priced – 9/10: everything is reasonably priced – not too expensive and not super cheap either. just about right.
Overall, I would probably come back here IF I was in the area but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come to this one specific restaurant.
