To be honest, I really wanted to try this place because they had Tiger Prawn Ceviché. I’ve heard of this restaurant before and I knew it was popular and usually expensive, so why not take advantage of the Dine-Out Festival (a 3 course set menu with options for the price range of $30 – $40). Super glad we still decided to go here despite a few negative comments about how YEW sucks during dine-out…. They definitely turned the table around this year though!!
Variety – n/a – again, with dine-out, the selection is limited to 2-3 choices per course; thus, no rating was given for this category
Service – 9.5/10 – our waitress was super friendly and was super cool (because she took more than ONE photo and tried different angles as well!!!!) she was super helpful and chatty but not TOO much .. just the right amount. The only negative thing about this experience was that we noticed they took the jacket of the girl in front of us but did not offer to take ours *shrugs*
Taste – 9/10 – for my dishes, they were all delicious! The tiger prawn was REALLLLLLLLLY sour. Even though I like sour things, this was just WAY too sour but somehow I still enjoyed it thoroughly… The Beef was SO TENDER. MY GOODNESS. It just falls apart when you try to poke at it/separate. The Earl Grey mousse dessert was a little weird though. It had the nice earl grey taste, but then it would get kicked away but the tangy orange taste .. I don’t know if i enjoyed that one …
Atmosphere – 9/10 – Everyone and everything is so boujee (extra fancy). The interior was really nice and everything just screams “high-end” (even the ceiling was quite high….). The dim lighting created that “ooh-lala” atmosphere.
Reasonably Priced – 10/10 – for the $40 dineout menu, this was definitely worth the bang for your buck!!!!
Overall, I probably would come back here for a special occasion or dine-out next year. I would recommend those who had a bad experience with them to try it again next year!!
