Originally we were going to go to Fondway Café except 1) it was packed with only 1-2 seats here n there because people hog space with their homework/laptop etc. Limited seating. 2) the menu wasn’t too appetizing. So then, we walked over 4 stores and boy am I so glad we went to Estea Café instead!!!
Variety – 10/10 – There’s your Asian food/appetizers (similar to bubble world but I think they focus on dessert?). They also have Bubble Waffle, Belgian Waffle, Layered Cake, Bubble Tea, etc. It’s an all in one shop for dessert/Asian food!!
Service – 8/10 – You order at the counter and then they bring out the food to you. Not much service.
Taste – 9/10 – Everything was really good. Bubble tea was good (can’t mess up Lychee Tee). Bubble Waffle Ice Cream thing was good, but it was better to eat on a plate. The layered cake was delicious the first few bites and then after it gets a bit too creamy.
Atmosphere – n/a
Reasonably Priced – 7.5/10 – Not sure what the prices for the food is but for the dessert, it seemed okay.. Not super overpriced, but not dirt cheap either.
Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend you to come here because I will definitely return!
After Pizzeria Lucida, there was a new bubble tea shop/café that had a soft opening. The need to quench our thirst was real, so we popped inside to give it a try.
Variety – 9/10 – not your average Bubble Tea shop. Very fancy. They also had cheesecakes that looked very rich and delicious but we were too full to try. They had a lot of fancy coffee specialties, ice cream, smoothies, bbt, and other drink specialties.
Service – 10/10 – super friendly owner (I think) and gave us suggestions for next time and told us a little bit about their café and their concept. It was nice and refreshing to be able to talk to the owners who can interact with the customers – in English.
Taste – 9/10 – One was a milk tea (I think) and the other was some coffee one. Regardless, both of the bubble tea drinks were good. The pearls were good too (surprisingly).
Atmosphere – n/a
Reasonably Priced – 7.5/10 – It’s pretty pricey, but it’s supposed to be high up or like … you get a lot / better quality etc.
Overall, I would come here again to sit down
My first time trying CoCo bubble tea. I didn’t know what to get and I was pretty lazy at looking at the menu so I made my sisters choose for me. They got the original with the pearls. Overall, it was NOT the most amazing bubble tea I’ve ever had. People hype this place way too much. Don’t get me wrong though. It isn’t terrible. The pearls are good, but I’ve had better..
Overall, I would give this a 7.75/10.
Always packed. Always bumping. Always hyped up.
Variety: 8/10 – a lot of different bubble waffles to choose from; different desserts; lots of different bubble tea flavors and styles; lots lots lots!!!!!!!!!!
Service: 7/10 – because it’s always packed, they are always behind on orders etc. Sometimes they pull through and finish completing your food within 10 minutes. Just ordering takes awhile because there’s always a fat line before you can make your order..
Taste: 8/10 – bubble waffle with ice cream, strawberries, whip cream : tasted alright i guess .. watermelon slush was pretty much just the watermelon mushed up w ice / slush. It has gotten better (in taste) since the last time I was here though ..
Atmosphere: 7/10 – good music, always bumping, always crowded – which isn’t necessarily a good thing..
Reasonably priced: 7/10 – overly priced for basic stuff. You’re pretty much just paying for the aesthetics of the bubble waffles or drink…..
I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here again because it’s always so darn packed…

When Cha Time was coming to Surrey, everyone was raving about it …
First time – I had the Mango QQ and the taste was alright but the pearls were so bland and hard. Yuck.
Second time & Third time – I had the Roasted Milk Tea w/ Grass Jelly which became my go-to drink when it comes to Cha Time ..
Variety – 10/10: there are so many flavours and combinations and funky flavours to choose from 👍
Service – 6.5/10: despite the popularity, the time to order and receive your order is very lengthy … 👎
Taste – 8/10: I’ve only had two flavours so far and the roasted one is my favourite. I may have gotten pearls on their bad day .. But I feel like that’s just how they do their pearls … 👍👎
Atmosphere – 7/10: small, not a lot of seats even though they are popular. They probably expected more quick in and outs instead of sit downs. But if we have to wait awhile for our drinks, it would be nice to sit down. It’s quite loud in there as well with the people chatting and the blenders going off constantly. 😕
Reasonably Priced – 7/10: can be quite pricey and adds up really fast … 🙄
Mango Mocho Bubble Waffle
Hershey Cookies and Cream with Pearls
Bubble tea fanatics know this place. It’s usually crowded on weekends and evenings and it is CASH ONLY…
Variety – 9.5/10: There are so many different flavors and flavors you would never think of drinking with pearls.. From fruity flavors to your favourite chocolates, you name it, they have it..
Service – 7/10: Even when it was empty (just us and another pair), they took quite a long time to make the bubble tea and bubble waffle. If you’re thinking of buying bubble waffles, expect over 10 minutes for some “good quality” bubble waffles…
Taste – 8.5/10: I don’t think I’ve ever had bad bubble tea here. As for the bubble waffles, they can be a hit or miss. I usually get original bubble waffles which all taste the same at most places.. This time I decided to get the MANGO MOCHI bubble waffle (see image above). It was an interesting taste because I would have never imagined eating hot mango… It wasn’t bad, but it makes you thirsty really fast.
Atmosphere – N/A: It’s a really small place. Originally there were no seats and it was just a take out place. I guess due to high demands, they added a few bar stools by the windows and the bubble waffle machines. There’s not much to say about this ambiance/atmosphere so I won’t give it a rating.
Reasonably Priced – 7/10 : The mango mochi bubble waffle cost me a bit over $5, but usually an original costs $3.50-$4.00 so I guess I’m paying a dollar or so extra for the mango.. Bubble tea can go from $3.50 (basic) to $6.80 (specials) … You can be the judge..
