I was going to get my car fixed at the Open Road Autoshop, so I quickly googled restaurants nearby. We ended up choosing to go here because it was a fusion of different Asian Cuisines.
Variety – 9/10 – There were a lot of dishes to choose from: Noodles (different flavors and styles), Rice (different flavors and style), Soup based, Bread, and more (can’t remember).
Service – 8.5/10 – There wasn’t much. She was nice? She took our order? And left us alone which is nice? LOL I don’t know what else to say about this.
Taste – 8/10 – The Roti Canai was really good – probably one of the best I’ve had. The “Mee Goreng” dish was good. Not too oily. The other seafood dish was meh. I didn’t like the flavor. It was too strong in seafood. It was slimy texture but also stir-fry noodles? Half wet-half dry – It was confusing. I wouldn’t get that dish again if I were to come back one day.
Atmosphere – n/a
Reasonably Priced – 8/10 – I would say you get A LOT for the price you’re paying for so definitely worth it!
Overall, I would recommend and come back to try different dishes!
One of the best places that I’ve eaten at. I haven’t gone to a place and enjoyed every single dish that came out. This place – hands down – highly recommended.
Asssam Seafood Laksa
Variety: 9/10 – Lots to choose from and they also recommend stuff to you if you’re unsure of what to order. Usually servers just go “Everything is good.” which may or may not be true. Here, i truly think you can’t go wrong with any of these dishes.
Service: 9/10 – Servers were nice, fast, refilled our water often.
Taste: 10/10 – Food was amazing. The taste was not too foreign, but not something I ate everyday. The curry and roti was good. The calamari was different and not your typical style. The Laksa was good and interesting. Everything!!!!
Atmosphere: 8/10 – warm lighting, small spacing, not too loud, a little cozy.
Reasonably Priced: 9/10 – It was pretty cheap since there were 4 of us and we ordered 4 things to share and we each only payed roughly $15 including tip and tax and we got to try 4 different things!!!
Seriously, you’re missing out if you have not tried this place!! Well, this was my first time trying Malaysian food (which seemed very familiar to thai/cambodian style).
